The Hoard
Early in the morning when the day was coming out of the embrace of night and the sky was covered with clouds, the cheerfulness of the wind was reflected in its speed. I was enjoying the weather on the roof. Flocks of birds flew from North to East. They were chirping with their sarcastic voices.
After a certain journey, they were scattered in valleys, hills, dales, rivers and fields and began to seek sustenance, looking for whatever grains they could find. They would bite together and thanked Allah. They received as much as was written in their destiny and they were happy about that.
In the evening, they returned to their empty-handed nest. They did not hoard anything. They preferred today to tomorrow.
While we prefer tomorrow rather than today, as a result, the society becomes unstable. © Muhammad Ishaq Abbasi
