"Peace in My Heart" Being free this weekend, I took my canoe
Enjoyed the passing sunset in the shadow
Tears dried and my deep anger remained zero
My lover has been forgiven and peace gained
I'm free and my heart is no longer enchained.
For years I was blind and my heart was wounded
Thought that my true love was reciprocated
But it turned out that his love was just acted
Thank God, for my fervent prayers did wonders.
Healed and revealed my life's tortures and blunders.
My sad heart rejoiced that peace has been obtained
Forgiveness has come into my wounded heart.
Just like the sunset, my radiance has remained
After a few hours, a new sunrise will start.
