April Editor's Choice: "In Solitude"

I am a man singularly composed of words. But I refuse to dignify it as poetry. I am utterly incapable of stopping the diarrhea of my mouth. But I find peace in solitude, for it is an isolation that I am most at ease
and I am so much myself, I am seemingly unable to articulate my thoughts in public. Consequently, others deem me dull-witted. I assure you, I am not deaf,
It is merely that I am incapable of listening to your voices no matter how loud. The crux of the matter lies in the fact that your definitions about me fail to resonate within me. But I implore you to comprehend that indifference is not a personal failing. I am insensible to the melodic harmonies of existence. The past has left me a profound silence, devoid of the melodic strains of memory. Ruminations of the future pay me visits, yet they do not greet me with the soothing tones of promise. © PRAISE M.K.
