The mind
is a writer.
It imbibes the stresses and strains
Joys and sorrows
Of the day
More than we'll ever know.
Then
In the stillness of night
To keep itself from boredom
It concocts stories as dreams
Weird and wonderful:
Romances, fantasies
And the macabre
In all manner of genres
Some not yet known.
Will it ever
Suffer
Writer's block?
